The fact the elders allowed Robert Morris to resign should result in the removal of EVERY elder! When they discovered what he did and how old Cindy was, they should have fired him IMMEDIATELY. They didn't have to pray about it! Morris disqualified himself from ministry and should never have been in it in the first place.

A major read flag also is, that Mark Driscoll literally claimed, that both he and his wife received oral revelation from Jesus Christ, warning him about the trap. An evangelical claiming to have thereby at least one of the apostolic gifts! That said, it is not okay to smear a man's name and accuse of sin and character issues wrongfully. That is sin. If he preach falsely and assocites himself with false preachers and churches, as Steven Furdic and Elevation Church for sure is (he has literally said on stage, that he is god!), then accuse him of that. Now, let me talk about all of this being entirely a self-inflicted problem within modern day Churchianity, that are tax-corporations with celebrity preachers more than anything else, which do not hold fast to the offices, that God instate for His church in Apostle Paul's epistles: This could never ever happen in parish run church anywhere in the world, because the parish got the power fire a bully pastor, who is ever in conflict with his congregation or elders in church. Why did you change the way church offices are supposed to be set up in USA?

The Bible establish no denomination at all, and I have looked around and found no church denomination at all, not one, that is 100% perfect in all of it's teachings and doctrines. All denomination has doctrines to some degree, that is in open conflict not least with the teachings of Apostle Paul, who called himself the apostle for the gentile nations, and only according to the gospel, that the Holy Spirit revealed through him can we be saved at all. All major denominations in fact holds on to church doctrines, that openly oppose doctrines in scripture. Basically, you could claim, that today Christianity counts between 50-60.000 cults and not one true Bible based church in all matters. This is not an argument for ecumenism, by the way: To bow down to the false prophet and antichrist leader of the whore of Babylon in Rome, one of the wickedest men on Earth in a church, that all Reformers called out as antichrist church, that is literally insane. It is an argument for reading the Bible and not making man or denominations (institutions and tax exempt corporations) the final authority in spiritual matters and doctrines. Sola Scriptura!

I do believe this elder was unaware of the truth until recently. Someone in his administration was aware because Cindy had reported to each of the churches Morris ministered to. It was being swept under the rug until she went public. Most of the church believed and knew only the story Morris disclosed. I am glad they are investigating and supporting Cindy. Real healing can only happen in the light. This can bring about real reform through example.

I am a Grandmother now but I was sexually abused as a child from age 3 & it happened several times from different family members, family friends & strangers throughout my childhood. I feel for Cindy, her family & everyone who feels hurt & betrayed & pray for her healing of course, but we also need to help & promote forgiveness for Robert Morris, not just for him & his family to move on from this, but for Cindy, the church & everyone who feels hurt by this to forgive & move on… isn’t that what Jesus taught us to do? I can tell you from experience the longer we hold onto the pain, bitterness, anger, resentment & unforgiveness the more we are prolonging the pain for ourselves & those around us. Unforgiveness is not something that just magically happens overnight, it’s something we must purposefully practice daily. Just as we purposefully give all other negative thoughts, feelings & emotions to God, we must do the same with this pain in our lives. Often rehashing it over & over again only prolongs thdd ed healing process & keeps refreshing the pain, anger & negativity. God wants us to really forgive, including Pastor Robert Morris. God forgave King David of his sin of adultery & murder & restored him as King. I’m not defending Pastor Morris but not that long ago in America many females got married at age 15 & many countries that’s still the norm. I’m not saying it’s good or right but I’m trying to keep it real, I know when I was a teenager in the 70’s most 15 year olds were already secretly sexually active & many liked dating older guys. Again, I’m not making excuses for anyone, I’ve just personally been through it & I try to remember that none of us are perfect & God does love & forgive all of us, including sexual predators.

Sometimes I think, that my whole nation are wolves. That said, to the subject: I came to this video on the search words "John MacArthur throws woman out of church for divorcing abusive husband. What stuns me is not only that thing alone, but he is supposedly one of the greatest apologists for the faith. People continue to defend him, as he were just wrong in that situation, but he apparently even shamed the woman from the pulpit in church, while she were a congregant, which on it's own should NEVER happen, and for wanting divorce from a man, that ended up receiving a 20 year sentence for his abuse! Getting things wrong in small matters is one thing, but how can a saved Christian, that is my question, supposedly filled with The Holy Spirit, also called the spirit of truth in scripture, be so wrong and even further victimize the victim and in full public? It is just sickening. That apart, I do not like John MacArthur already and I do not recognize him as a great preacher and teacher at all. As we would say here in Denmark, he is good at sounding profound, while he speak with wool in mouth (we used to ridicule a former prime minister with those words). Also, John MacArthur pretends to be defending the one true gospel against the charismatic movement and the prosperity gospel, but he is a hardcore CALVINIST, believing in predestination and Lordship Salvation: He got no gospel message at all! How can people miss that fact. I also hate the fact, that John MacArthur and all of his many sidekicks and supporters has orchestrated, what I can only describe as one of the greatest attacks on the King James Bible, only for John MacArthur to sell his personal version of NASB with, what he claims is God's true name added, called the LSB. How many millions do an already multi millionaire in US Dollars pastor need to accumulate, who even makes a name for himself preaching against the prosperity gospel? Also, his church is so much deception, as are the Catholic church and the Mormons. One of the greatest versions of Amazing Grace will stun you has been sung by Mormons, who as a matter of fact do not believe in grace at all. Likewise, that John MacArthur calls his church and other business in that tree Grace is simply just word salad: Predestination rule out grace and makes us hopeless, because we can do nothing, because either God choose us for salvation or not. He is not a dispensational teacher either, as he continue to claim, but continuously misuse Old Testament scripture, also in matters, that relate to our gospel message, which is not to find in Old Testament at all, but entirely in the epistles of Apostle Paul, the apostle for the gentiles, as he named himself! There is many things I like about John MacArthur, not least his hard preaching against sin and daring to go up against the sodomite agenda of the world, but even the more I am horrified to note, that he is actually a very deceitful man in his preaching and on so many levels.

Great testimony, and unfortunately not that surprising at all. It seems to me, that the Christian world today is split in two almost equally big and also wrong parts: The progressive modernized church, that essentially deny all parts of the Bible and believes, that we have freedom to sin and then the conservative part, that is like the Pharisees, claiming all kind of laws over us, that is not in the spirit of the word of all. God gave the Jews under the law of Moses rights to divorce! We are not under the law of Moses, which Apostle Paul called a curse and also a great schoolmaster, which taught the Jews and thereby also us, that none can be righteous in the strength of their flesh! All Christian nations also always have seen adultery as a legal reason for divorce, but even the law of Moses goes further, and actually gives even the Jews rights to divorce, if they decided simply not to like each other! Yes, we are supposed to be one flesh and a husband is also commanded to love his wife, as Jesus Christ loves His church. Not very loving to be abusive then, is it? I grew up in a family, that were utterly DESTROYED by the drunkenness and craziness of my mother and the anger and violence of my father, and they both were abuse, us children stuck in the wrath in the middle of it all. Don't preach to me, that people needs to stay in a war like relation for the sake of the children: I am in my 50s and I still got battle scars on my soul from that absolutely abusive childhood! Yes, it is terrible, how worldly the church has become today, where divorce rates are as high as in the rest of the world. People confuse love and lust these days and some people divorce, when it does not tickle all the right places anymore, and I have met that type of divorcees too. But, do not judge people, who has been through abuse by that light. If people really wish for a woman and children to suffer in an abusive relationship, just to defend a "hero", then they can not be all that Christian and loving at all. By the way, did you realize, that King David married a divorcee by the hand of God, who also escaped a abusive relationship! By the way, I am a man and not a feminist at all, just before some Pharisee accuse me of that. It is disconcerting that a man, the pastor of a church, is put on the gallows for something he did 30 years ago, after the Lord Jesus forgave him and erased, I repeat erased, his sin; and Pastor Robert also confessed. I was also amazed at his "church" that distanced itself with truly blatant hypocrisy instead of protecting him, defending him and praying for him. Robert Morris was right to resign, perhaps the Lord took him away from among the snakes.

Well, I have met this type of Christian conservatives here in Denmark too, really more a Pharisee style cult called Inner Mission, and God did institute divorce as a possibility, even for the Jews under the full wrath of the Mosaic Law. In all Christian nations of Europe, and rightfully so, adultery always have been a legal reason for divorce. That all said, the family always have been the center of our faith, there can be no question about it. It is called the Abrahamic faith for a reason, God establishing Abraham and his seed as His people on Earth and from that seed all hope where given, the scriptures for instance playing huge emphasis on the family tree of the prophesied Messiah, which Jesus Christ to the full extent fulfilled also. About all the charismatic circus: Imagine today, that the greatest argument, that American and European media use against Russia is, that they persecute homosexuals and ban missions from USA in particular. On both accounts Russia is doing right, and I for sure would wish, that Europe had been that vigilant in defending true Bible doctrines and faith. Just imagine, that the Mormons went to Scandinavia, where I am from and people literally could have been saved by the Bible founded church doctrines of the Lutheran church alone, but instead they gave their lives to that absolute repulsive antichrist cult. Millions of lives has gone from freedom to practice faith here in Europe under a true church to incredible bondage as a Mormon with no salvation, because they simply just believe in another God and Jesus, even that they can become God one day, and also denies Hell. The charismatic circus is not church, but actually a pyramid scheme, unbelievers seeking to twist the word of God to make merchandise of their own congregation, one of the worst sins of all and one of the few things, that led Jesus Christ to see, according to the Bible, and the only thing that led Him to use force, making a wip to overthrow the money lenders tables in the temple.
